Rat Rod Trucks aren’t something you get to see everyday, so when you actually get to lay your eyes on one, taking it all in with multiple photos is a necessity. This next rat rod truck is actually an old Dodge, and as you can see, it’s totally done and just where the owner wants it to be.
When I saw this rat at a car show last summer, I was drawn to it right away. You can see why, right? I mean, it’s dead sexy.
This diesel powered rat rod looks shoddy, as it should, but make no mistake … that turbo diesel runs great.
In many of these rides, the finishing touches are over the top. This one is balanced just right, with the right amount of accessories, without too much bling in your face. And, as a gun guy myself, the handgun shifter puts it over the top for me. I’ve seen shotguns and wrenches before, but this is a first for me. Here is the rat rod’s interior:
Usually out of place on a rat rod of any nomenclature, is a bunch of chrome. I won’t hold it against this truck, though, because those pipes serve a purpose, which, in case you didn’t know, was to help this baby boogy.

This rat rod was a rare treat, something that is rarely ever seen in the wild. Not only a rat rod truck, but also diesel powered. What are the odds? I’m looking forward to the upcoming car show season, and I hope to get pics of many more rats.
